I remember back in 2008 when I first heard of Adele’s first album “19” lyrics instantly stuck with me. Today Adele has one of most loved singles in the world, sweeping 8 Grammy’s in total.
Anderson Cooper had the honor of doing a interview in London with Adele just after she had recovered from surgery. She talks about the time when she realized that something had gone wrong with her vocal chords on a radio show in Paris
“It was literally like someone switched like a click off in my throat. And it just turned off. Like someone pulled a curtain over my throat,” she says. “But I sounded – I’m not a soprano singer, but say if someone’s singing soprano and then listen to a baritone singer – it sounded like that. My voice went. It was so much deeper… And I could feel it. It felt like something popped in my throat.”
She talks about her success, stage fright, her new found love and being who she wants to be. If you don’t love Adele already this interview might change your mind.
